Our roles
Social Worker - Assessment & Staying Together - Burton, Codsall, Cannock, Moorlands, Stafford, Tamworth (Permanent) and Newcastle (12 months Fixed Term)
You’ll be working with children and their families consistently from the point our Duty hub refer them to you until we support them to leave our system. In some instances where there’s a need for a final order this is where support for a child will be taken over by our Children in Care and Care Leavers teams.
Social Worker – Duty Hub - Stafford (Permanent)
As a Duty Hub Social Worker, you’ll work within a busy Duty team, completing Initial Visits and Child Social Work Assessments following new referrals from our First Response Team. The work will be varied, covering S.47 investigations, S.17 Child in Need assessments, s.7 & s.37 reports. Applicants for these posts will need to have completed their ASYE Year. We’ll ensure you gain experience and training to conduct ‘Achieving Best Evidence Interviews’.
Social Worker - Children in Care & Care Leaver – Burton, Codsall, Cannock, Lichfield and Tamworth (Permanent)
As a social worker for children in care you’ll be looking after and supporting those children who have for one reason, or another been taken into care.
What you’ll bring
You’ll need to be a:
- Qualified Social Worker
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Have a current UK driving licence and vehicle
But above all, you’ll bring the desire to work with children and families to give them the right support, at the right time with the aim of keeping families together where it’s safe to do so.
