Salary: £37,890 - £41,881 per annum (pro rata)
37 Hours per week – (Mon – Fri)
Safeguarding Advanced Practitioners (Qualified Social Worker) posts based with the Staffordshire Adult Safeguarding Team.
The Staffordshire Adult Safeguarding Team (SAST) is a dynamic and forward thinking team based within a multi- agency environment (MASH). The roles will be full time (37hrs pw) and require some office presence working closely with partners, but will also have an element of home working.
The role of advanced practitioner is to assist in the management of the team in its functions which largely centre around Section 42 (safeguarding) enquiries where we have been alerted to concerns of abuse of adults with care and support needs. Successful applicants will need to have exceptional organisational, risk assessment and recording skills and be able to appropriately prioritise and ensure that proportionate safeguarding interventions are initiated in the timeliest of ways in line with the Care Act and Making Safeguarding Personal.
The role also entails support to the day to day management of a team of Safeguarding Assistants who carry out necessary research into concerns to assist the holistic risk assessment of referrals and the advanced practitioner will be a key participant in strategy discussions with partner agencies including Police and other statutory and voluntary agencies.
For an informal discussion about the role, please feel free to contact Craig Cassells, Safeguarding Practice Lead and Designated Adult Safeguarding Manager on 01785 895216.
