Social Worker – Care Planning & Court Service – Newcastle-Under-Lyme & Stafford District
Salary: £31,371-£35,934 per annum
37 Hours per week
There are currently permanent social work positions in Newcastle-Under-Lyme and a 12-month fixed term position in Stafford.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Care Planning & Court Service as a Social Worker at a time where there is significant investment across Children’s Social Care.

We want to improve the lives of all children and young people, using a whole system approach enabling children to be happy, healthy and safe and supporting families to enable children to remain at home wherever possible. Restorative approaches are widely accepted as a highly effective way of achieving better outcomes for children, young people and their families.
As a social worker in the care planning and court service you will be responsible for assessments, writing statements and presenting evidence to the court. You will also have responsibility for children who are looked after and ensuring that children achieve the most appropriate and timely permanency plans to meet their needs.
We are looking for qualified Social Workers, ideally with a minimum of 12 months post qualification experience with direct experience working with children and families. Successful applicants will have excellent communication skills, the ability to build relationships with children, families and other professionals alongside a value base committed to striving for the best outcomes for children.
