Youth Offending Service Operations Manager
Salary: £41,675 - £45,591 per annum
37 Hours per week – Permanent
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Staffordshire’s Youth Offending Service as an Operations Manager. This post is based in Newcastle but covers Newcastle and Staffordshire Moorlands and will require travel around the County.
We have 2 operational hubs in Staffordshire delivering Youth Justice Services in line with the statutory requirements set by the Youth Justice Board.
The role is to provide leadership, supervision and development of the North Hub and the individuals within it. The candidate will be expected to be a team player and will be committed to ensuring the children and victims known to the service receive the best outcomes.
Staffordshire’s Youth Offending Service is one of the largest Youth Justice Services in England and therefore there are excellent career opportunities for highly motivated and experienced staff to join a good Youth Offending Service. The most recent inspection completed stated that “there remained a competent and committed workforce dedicated to doing their best for children and young people in Staffordshire. Assessment, planning and review were done to a very high standard”.
Staff are provided with high quality regular supervision, a second to none training offer which equips staff to have the tools to do their job both confidently and competently alongside excellent line management support.

Candidates will hold a professional qualification in Probation or Social Work; however, applications will also be considered from candidates who do not hold this qualification but can demonstrate significant experience of managing within a Youth Offending Team.
