LIBRARY ASSISTANT – Rugeley Library
Salary: £18,562 - £18,933 per annum (pro rata)
2.5 Hours per week – Permanent
About the role
Are you an enthusiastic, highly motivated person? Do you enjoy helping people of all ages, interested in books, and reading? If so Rugeley Library is looking for someone to join our team.
The library is a valued resource, constantly evolving to meet the changing needs of our communities. This role provides a highly-customer focused service to the public. Duties will include answering general and book-related queries, shelving, promoting library stock, services and events through social media and outreach events, cash handling, registering new users, and supporting customers in the use of IT via the public access PCs.
What you’ll bring
We are particularly keen to recruit someone with an interest in providing community activities with children.
Experience of using ICT is essential. The post holder will be based at Rugeley Library but may be required to work at other branch libraries. The library is open daily Monday to Saturday. The successful candidates would work an average of 2.5 hours a week.
