Salary: UPS (£38,690 - £41,604) + 2SEN (£4,479) + TLR2 Max (£7,017)

An exciting opportunity to join the Leadership Team of Staffordshire’s Specialist Support Service (Hearing Support Team) has arisen with effect from September 2021 due to the retirement of the current post holder. The Service consists of the Hearing Support, Vision Support and the Autism Outreach Teams.
Our large centrally based Hearing Support Team consists of Specialist Teachers, Communication Support Workers, Educational Audiologists, Deaf Role Models, and an ICT Support Technician. We support children and young people 0-25 with a sensory loss in a variety of settings including homes, nurseries, mainstream schools, colleges and specialist provision. We maintain a strong commitment to multi-agency working, inclusive education, high standards of attainment and quality of life experiences for all our pupils.
This post will involve being directly responsible for and managing The Hearing Impairment Team alongside having a small caseload delivering teaching and advisory support for children with hearing impairments in a range of settings across the county. You will need to be a fully qualified and experienced Teacher of the Deaf holding the mandatory qualification, in addition to having some leadership experience.
The post reflects Teacher’s Pay and Conditions and will be term time, however there will be the expectation of some availability at other times. Staffordshire pays essential car user allowance and supports agile working. Smart phone and laptop are provided.
